Fed up with his abusive father and his bossy adoptive parents, Huckleberry Finn teams up with the fugitive slave Jim in a search for freedom along the Mississippi River. But as they journey through the American frontier, Huck finds himself wrestling with rejecting all he has been taught about slaves in order to protect Jim from those seeking to capture him.
